Purpose of Porn

I watched a shocking interview today with Porn Star Jenna Jameson (apparently she is famous in the adult video industry---I'd never heard of her)

Anyways....as I listened to this interview, my mouth literally dropped open about every other sentence. It's the world that shocks me---not her. I mean, ok, don't get me wrong....I was a little shocked when she said things like, "I always wanted to make a difference in the world" and "I'm a business woman." With that aside, I am shocked at the latest statistics having to do with porn--FEMALES AND PORN. Now-1 in every 3 women are buying and looking at porn. 1 IN 3!!!!!

You might be saying, "Kylie, why is this so shocking to you?"
And I will calmly respond, "THERE IS NOTHING NOT SHOCKING ABOUT IT!!!"

Ok--so women are now to blame for this multi-million dollar industry that ruins marriages all across the country. Women are the ones who are willing to substitute something real for an illusion. I'm insulted that the female population is willing to submit themselves to sin in such a way that it demoralizes our gender. We are supporting the idea that our bodies are merely tools...toys...something to be used and abused--thrown out to dry. We are giving men a license to treat sex as simply a physical work out and we are enabling intimacy to be substituted for a DVD.

I'm not a feminist---clearly-- or I would be in complete support of selling more and making more money than men (in the porn industry that is the case). I am a woman that wants a marriage where my husband only fantasizes about me.....I am a woman that believes a woman's body is sacred, not cheap. I am a woman that believes God created marriage to be the ONLY context in which sex is occurring.

Shocked---maybe disappointed is a better word.
