Floating....(this is a long one)

The fairy dust is settling but I still feel like I’m dreaming. The past 2 weeks have been seamlessly incredible, something I never thought I would experience to this extent. I am speechless when it comes to the memories I have of our wedding day and full of words to describe the unforgettable honeymoon that John planned. From start to finish, there is not one thing I would change of the whole wedding experience based on what we planned and implemented.

There are a few sweet memories that stick out in my head that I want to document so that I’ll always remember.

1. Seeing friends show up at my house on Friday night one after another to greet and spend time together-so special.
2. Having all of our bridal party together at our house for a BBQ—corn hole—and leisure time on the deck
3. “Amber”
4. Waking up on Sunday to quiet serene ----allowing myself to cry over my dark cloud but praying for peace—all in the silence of my guest bedroom
5. decorating the upstairs guest bathroom before guest arrived (love that curtain)
6. Seeing John’s surprise cake be delivered by my beloved friend Christy that hand made it for him (duplication of our “save the date” proposal card)

7. Hugging family and friends at the dessert bar and appreciating all of my moms work on it
8. chuckling to myself as the wedding coordinator stepped on my veil/dress as I walked down the isle---thinking about how I about bit the dust :)
9. Telling John to “stop talking” as the preacher was giving his sermon….lol….he just had so much to say and his whisper felt so loud
10. hearing my dads voice at the EXACT moment I needed it (during the mother/son dance)
11. being so proud of my brothers for their significant roles (Josh read perfectly and Andy helped me fight back the tears)
12. “Party in the USA”
13. feeling exhausted….all. weekend. (so worth it)
14. thanking Wheelers, McQueens, and Bowen at our wedding with gifts (treasure their grace)
15. dancing with John—mmmmm (fast and slow!!)
16. shaking it with the girls!!
17. An awesome photography session with Erin Sage (I LOVE my photos—that girl has a gift)
18. Running through a crowd to our car---and leaving with my husband!

A few memories I will always treasure about the honeymoon:

1. ;)
2. John trying to get a picture of that dumb bird
3. Laughing at John’s poses
4. Confused at people frying their skin in the Mexican sun just to be miserable all week
5. Mexican Michael Jackson show
6. Dressing up for a hottie!
7. Ordering steak……3 nites in a row!!!
8. Beach bums….the topless ones who shouldn’t have been
9. Sitting on the runway in Charlotte for 2 hours before taking off for Mexico
10. Swimming with Dolphins!

After being home for a few days, the fun just keeps coming!! We opened an abundance of gifts---so blessed! Our photographer posted our day on her blog….worth every single penny!! Our DJ mailed us picts he took while dancing….so fun!! We actually ate our wedding cake…yummm!! We watched our reception video and listened to everyone’s messages---more crying for me! I’m having serious post wedding bliss….in fact, I think its even better than the pre-wedding season. Love this!!

John and I are so thankful-and that does not even begin to describe what we feel for those who were there with us. Our guests made our day memorable and unique! It would not have been the same without all of the love that was in that room.

I truly LOVED my wedding weekend and honeymoon heaven. I wish this for every couple!!
