King's Kitchen

I had been browsing through a Charlotte magazine and read the bio on a restaraunt uptown called "King's Kitchen." It's a really cute place that serves southern cuisine and the best part....well there are several!

One: it's a non-profit restaraunt and all profits go to feeding the hungry in charlotte

Two: all of the employees are previous prison inmates, troubled youth or people with hindering previous experiences that prevent them from getting a job

Three: it's christian based and their mission is simple: helping people to further their life with Christ.

So much to love.....such a phenominal business!!!!! Of course this place holds a special place in my heart and of course it gives me hope for the future. The food isnt my favorite style (southern usually isn't....I like more mid-west style...meat and potatos kinda girl) but man, this place wins the prize for purpose.

Check it out if you get a chance.....John and I both ordered the fried flounder---it was great :)
