Seen a monkey clean another monkey in a personal area?
Experienced Dunkin Donuts delightful goodness?
Swam in the semi-scary Indian Trail pool?
Seen John longingly stare at a monkey exhibit?
Stood in 93 degree heat to stare at the monkey exhibit "one more time?"
Eaten Little Ceasars pizza and BUTTERY breadsticks?
Felt like you were in Africa?
I'll check yes to all of these--for today alone!

(feeling ready to take on the day!)

(thumbs up for fun at the zoo with Jed)

(who doesn't want their hand licked by a llama?)

(my response to "monkey business/cleaning")

(milk those cows kids!)

(Looked like Africa to me :)

(i love this bunch!!!)
John and I took an adventure today.......
At the beginning of our dating relationship John and I made a list of "things to do." Some of these things on the list are very simple and sweet-some require traveling---but most are experiencing things around us intentionally. Today we crossed another one of our "things" off of the list. We took 3 awesome Wheeler kids with us to the Columbia, SC Zoo. First, you should know that for John, the zoo is like a 2nd heaven. HE LOVES IT! I on the other hand could live the rest of my life and not really miss animals all that much. I appreciate the purpose they serve but they just aren't really my thing. At one point today I said to John, "I hope you look this happy when I walk down the aisle." :)
The day started out with picking up the Wheeler bunch at 8 a.m. Mama Wheeler was awesome enough to pack us up right.....all the snacks, drinks, and extras we could possibly need! We were loving it! We headed straight for Dunkin Donuts to go and jumped on the highway to S.C.
We spent about 4 hours total at the un-airconditioned zoo which didn't seem to slow us down a bit. After we hit all the goodness of the zoo we decided a pool party would be a perfect way to cool down followed by pizza!!!
What an awesome day! John and I had a phenominal time dreaming that our kids might be as well behaved and polite as Jed, Kage, and Abby. They taught us some things......the parents of these kids should be gleaming with pride (in a Godly way of course).
As for tonight.....relaxing and enjoying the summer night :)
