As tiny details are beginning to come together for our wedding--I'm having a hard time containing my excitement!! John and I have taken care of all the major things--church-hall-DJ-photographer-etc. I decided it would be wise of me to start with the smaller things now knowing what my school year will be once I'm in it. SO---let the details begin!!
I had found the perfect purchase to make online for the wedding and asked John to order it. Well...time went by-- the order was never placed ---the internet no longer had it--it was basically world war 3 devastation (in my small world it was). So--needless to say, I was rather disappointed and somewhat upset that John had made a human mistake of not ordering this piece (does he not think about wedding details 24 hours a day--sleep included?? I was sure men do but I'm beginning to wonder ;)
To make a long story short---we soon found an even more amazing replacement!! I could not be more thankful that John followed God's will and forgot to order online (that's pushing it i know). I think back and I should have given John a little more grace in the situation. I made some ridiculous comment that I would take care of everything from here on out. (lol) I pray he does not remember me ever saying that....I desperately need and want his help and input.
Lesson learned: if it doesn't work--it probably wasn't meant to. In the meantime how about a little grace for the guy. He doesn't exactly drool over colors--flowers--heels--rehearsal dinners.
