Today I was reading in LUKE 13 about repenting. Whoa I was convicted! I think of myself as having a close relationship with my savior yet I often forget that I need to repent for my sins---DAILY!
Luke 13 v. 3 "But unless you repent, you too will parish"
I hope pastors are instructing their churches to repent---as much bible reading, worship music listening, feeding the poor, and calling ourselves Christians sounds nice and sounds like it's enough--it's not. Those words are from JESUS himself---we must ask forgiveness for our sins.
What a relief that we can repent for anything at anytime and God hears us---it's washed away to the depths of hell for the Lord to never bring back to the surface. Sometimes I still feel guilt for the sin I have repented---it's the enemy. God doesn't bring back the sin he has washed away to make us miserable....that's the devil bringing us down to sin again.
Thank you Lord for allowing me to come to you and repent---I need it daily---I'm so unclean with out---and I will not parish because I've repented.
