I have met some incredibly delightful women since moving to the south a few years ago. Some were in my life for a season and a reason, others are still lingering along and some are stickin to me like glue...or I'm stickin to them.
This past week, a very sweet friend in my life approached me by revealing her heart and challenges to me. She followed the conversation with a courageous question, "will you be my accountability partner?"
WOW---I was floored. Who am I to walk with you through life and encourage you when I have so much sin in my own life? How am I the one God has chosen to do this?
Without hesitation in my mind I responded humbly, "YES!"
This woman and I are working through a Beth Moore book on Insecurity....it's pushing me already. We are both making a commitment to be honest and vulnerable--willing to experience the growing pains together.
I have an accountability partner myself and it has done AMAZING things in my life. She is one of the only people that I can be silent with, talk her ear off, and bear my sins and faults with.
Accountability will always result in Growth---and its immeasurable growth that may not be seen today by me, but is always seen by others. Get one-they work!
