This is going out a day late due to some technical internet difficulties (when the neighbor is using his internet connection--our borrowage doesnt work all that well. Darn free internet from the neighbors....)
To my big brother:
There are a few things I will never forget.....
-you always got a Dairy Queen ice cream cake (someone else didnt)
-Dad brought me home on a present on your birthday (haha)
-you always wanted to be a cop
-you never understood why mom and dad wouldnt buy you a German Shepard (MOSES-enough said)
-Josh beat you up all the time
-you were THE pool manager for Williamston
-when you pierced your eyebrow in England (I think mom was your biggest fan)
-you always got to push the blender button at Aunt Sue's
-getting trapped in the grain wagon (I really thought you were going to die)
-Mom and Dad forcing me to be your magicians assistant in high school (fastest way to get to "cool" is the talent show...thanks)
-Mom made you drive me to school in the mornings even though you didnt have a 1st period (it was all for the sake of my hair...2 blocks is a long walk)
Oh just a few of the very fond memories from our childhood. I treasure our childhood but even more I value our relationship in adulthood. You and I can now get along for more than 3-4 minutes (unlike when we were younger) and we actually enjoy it. I love laughing with you--it always brings me joy. I am so thankful for how you have risen to the occasion to being the man in all our lives. I admire so much your genius with marketing and business.
I love having you as my big brother. You are a Merkle to the core.
Thank you for giving me away this May (I'm sure part of you can't wait...;)
Love you--HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
