His Commandment

I could never be a president--of any country. I would never want the honor and challenge--I have no desire to step foot in front of the world to make the world happy.
I'm appreciative to anyone who wants to try to make the world happy, be a leader, and run the greatest country in the world. I love this country---I'm proud to live here.

I have found myself really frustrated with decisions that are being made and have been made over the last 7 months with the government. I have made an effort this year to educate myself on political issues at hand to at least provide an educated opinion to conversation.

The sermon yesterday covered 1 of the 10 commandments, "you shall have no other God's before me." I had never thought of the government as another God. The Pastor said it and I rolled my eyes and sat back in my chair with my arms crossed (o great---here comes my pride again).

If we are so consumed with the government, its decisions, and the consequences of those decisions---we are leaving God out of the equation. He is the one we put our trust in--NOT the government. When we put our thoughts, energy, attitudes, and time towards the Government and not God--we're breaking one of his commandments.

I believe in being a responsible citizen. I do not believe in the health care plan that is trying to make its way through legislation. I believe God runs this country no matter who sleeps in the White house. I do not believe peace talks will work with people who strap bombs on themselves to kill thousands. I believe the rapture is coming!!!!
