I'm a woman of God. I'm a wife. I'm a daughter. I'm a sister. I'm a teacher. I'm living by God's grace to bring him glory, by him and through him all things hold together. Colossians 1:17

Pruning my own branches
As life seems to be more and more busy, I'm finding that I need to start pruning my branches. I have felt this overwhelming sense in the last month that John and I do an excellent job of filling our time....so much so that we have trouble filling it only with eachother. We love to be around other people, help people, fellowship with people. This is a great thing, but we need to find the balance. Because our lives right now are chaotic with work, bible study, work, and more work, the little time we have for eachother we also want to spend with friends.
SO--this next month we are pruning our branches. Cutting things, activities, people, and events out that are not fruitful. We're asking ourselves before we make a commmittment if we have spent time with eachother lately, alone.
Great advice I heard at my wedding shower: invest in your marriage, not your 401K.
Couldn't agree more and time to start showing it!
