Wasted Pain

"God doesn't waste our pain."

This quote of so much truth has really stuck with me. I heard it from a lovely woman in my life, one who is experiencing some serious pain-pain that most of the population does not experience. She has such perspective, God is really revealing truth and bringing peace in her life...an answered prayer on my part.

There are some days when I hear of others pain, or even look at my mini-sized pain... it's not wasted. As I grow into my adulthood (womanhood), I can see the divine moments when God brings someone into my life and I can empathize in their pain because I've been there. I've experienced it. God isn't wasting my pain.

That's refreshing.

God uses this broken and fallen world and the pain we most often create for ourselves, to benefit others. I love that our pain isn't about us-in the end it's about how others can benefit from it---the whole turning bad to good that God promised.

Once again....it's not about us. It's about him and his glory.
