$4.00 FUN!

Man was last night a treat!

I can remember when I was little that it was a HUGE deal for our parents to take us to the movie theater. I will never forget the big blue "purse" my mom would take in which led to us kids opening a can of pop and crunching open brown paper bags of homemade popcorn. LOL. Wow----Andy I were so embarrassed but got over it quickly...just to be in a movie was a treat!

So strange to me that kids now days see the movie theater as such a "normal" thing. I feel like the movie experience is shot because of saturation. Some of the kids I nanny for in the summer don't raise any eye brow to going to the free movie that I offer to take them to. WHAT?? I still get excited about going to a movie--it's an experience.

Last night we had planned to hit up South Park and hear the symphony and see fireworks! Our plan was quickly squelched as a friend called and said it was too packed to park and no where to sit. At the same time another friend was telling me about seeing Toy Story 3 at THE DRIVE IN!!!!! Wooooo hoooo!!!!

I can remember the drive in so clearly----mom didn't even need her big blue "purse"...we just used grocery bags and duffel bags of snacks! So fun and such great memories!

Nothing like Four Dollar Fun!
